Small group leaders: set when you meet and fill in attendance

Churches like to know how many came to each small group meeting. Often that meant the leader sending it on LINE and someone copying it into a spreadsheet. With Martha, sit, small group leaders fill it in right in the app, and if it’s not filled in by the evening of the meeting, they get a reminder.

An admin sets things up first

  1. In Settings, turn on Attendance.
  2. Go to Settings → Services & ministries, open the service the small group belongs to, tap Add a small group, and give it a name.
  3. On the small group’s page, tap Small group leader and pick a team member.

Small group leaders start with “Get started”

Once you’re assigned, a section like Get started · Joy Group small group leader shows up at the top of Home, listing what to do first. To find your small group’s page later, go to Settings → I lead.

Add members

On the small group’s page, under Team members, tap Add team members, pick people from the whole church list, and tap to add them. Added the wrong person? Tap Remove next to their name, or tap Undo.

Set when you meet

Tap Meets, choose Every week or Every other week, pick the day, and tap Save.

Once that’s set, the Attendance section lists each meeting day. Days that haven’t come yet don’t show.

Fill in attendance

On or after the meeting day, tap the meeting marked Not filled in, enter how many came, add a note if you like, and tap Save.

  • Didn’t meet that time: Tap We didn't meet, so it doesn’t stay Not filled in.
  • Still not filled in by 9 p.m. on the meeting day: The small group leader gets a reminder. To stop these, go to Settings → Notifications and turn off Attendance reminders.
  • Taking time off: Tap Take a break and pick the day you’ll be back. There are no reminders during the break, and nothing is left Not filled in.

Admins and office staff can see the attendance you fill in, and it’s kept even after the small group is closed.
